The vacuum magnetic levitation smelting method is a smelting method that has developed rapidly in recent years. It is mainly used to produce high melting point, high purity and extremely active metals in metallurgy and high-end material preparation.
Features
The vacuum magnetic levitation smelting method uses a high-frequency or medium-frequency alternating magnetic field to form an electromagnetic force that offsets gravity during metal smelting, causing the melt to levitate and separate from the inner wall of the pile. It is a method that integrates electromagnetics, fluidics, and thermodynamics. Comprehensive metallurgical technology integrating multiple disciplines such as mechanics, physical chemistry and metallurgy. Therefore, it has received widespread attention and has been applied in many fields of material preparation. Due to the effect of magnetic levitation, the melt is out of contact with the inner wall of the pile. In this way, the heat dissipation behavior between the melt and the pile wall is changed from conductive heat dissipation to radiation heat dissipation, resulting in a decrease in the heat dissipation speed, allowing the melt to reach a very high temperature. Temperature (1700~2500℃), suitable for melting high melting point metals or their alloys. The more important aspect is : the suspension of the charge during smelting will effectively prevent pollution caused by the contact between the charge and the field wall. Suitable for obtaining high purity or extremely reactive metals.
